With a 17.00 mm (0.669") inner rim diameter, the CR1 provides generous internal space for the embouchure, allowing more room for lip vibration. It is particularly well suited for players who feel comfortable with larger mouthpieces and want to explore a full and powerful sound.

For trumpet players accustomed to the Padovani A1 or 1C-reference mouthpieces, the CR1 diameter provides a familiar rim area, helping make the transition between the two instruments more comfortable. Despite this similarity in diameter, the CR1 features an internal geometry developed specifically for cornet, preserving the response and tonal characteristics expected from the instrument.
