An extremely versatile model, developed to deliver excellence across different styles and situations — ideal for musicians seeking balance, consistency, and reliable performance in any scenario.

Mark Upton began studying trumpet at the age of six, directly influenced by his parents, both professional trumpet players. From an early age, he showed great talent, performing with groups such as the Kent County Youth Orchestra, The Railway Swing Band, and Betteshanger Brass Band.
In 1997, he joined the Royal Marines School of Music, where he quickly stood out, winning the Parker Cup for best brass player for two consecutive years, as well as receiving a medal from the Worshipful Company of Musicians in London.
He served as principal trumpet of the Royal Marines Band, regularly performing at official events for the British Royal Family and on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Royal Albert Hall and the London 2012 Olympics.
Today, Mark works as a freelance musician and educator, collaborating with top artists and teaching students around the world.
The STUDIO model was designed as a true all-round mouthpiece, capable of delivering excellent performance across a wide range of musical styles and professional demands. The goal is to provide an ideal balance of projection, control, and tonal quality, making it a reliable choice for everyday playing.
According to Mark Upton, this is an extremely versatile mouthpiece, ideal for studio work, commercial music, jazz, and big band settings. Its balanced response allows for natural adaptation across different musical contexts.
It produces a rich, centered sound throughout the entire range of the instrument, with a very stable and predictable response. Its unique design provides added confidence and security, even in demanding situations.
The comfortable rim contributes directly to increased endurance and confidence, allowing for long playing sessions with consistency. In addition, its clarity, accuracy, and projection make it an excellent choice for section playing.
The result is a mouthpiece that quickly becomes a reliable go-to option for virtually any playing situation.
Different designs and the optional use of a resonator allow variations in mass, directly impacting tone and projection:
